Ven, the last tile that is kind of missing is the mountain tile (and grain field on plains). I am more or less ready to release the first version with an import of the original Imp 1 map (only terrain). I would like to include mountains if you can provide them (or just anything) in the next two days. Don't see this as time pressure, just as a good opportunity.

Re: Terrain Tiles
There are 5 tiles from Imp1 that I haven't finished yet: mountains, grain farms, horse ranches, fertile hills (sheep), and scrub forests. Hopefully I can get a few of the more important ones done tonight and tomorrow so we can punch this thing and generate some public interest in the project.

Re: Terrain Tiles
Hi Ven,
How is it going with the remaining tiles? Do they make problems or is there just not enough time now?

Re: Terrain Tiles
It's a combination of both. I've probably lost some steam lately as well.
We need 5 more, and I want to have them done by the end of the week.

Re: Terrain Tiles
So go figure - I've spent about six hours now trying to draw mountains using the same process I've used to create these tiles, but to no avail. These mountains are out to get me.
Re: Terrain Tiles
A tileset that I like a lot is the freeland tileset which is used in FreeCiv. It has also mountains. Maybe you can use it for inspiration:

Re: Terrain Tiles
Here another inspiration. It's an isometric tileset from another open source game. I never meet the original creator, but I think we could use it as inspiration.
