Re: Towards a first complete working image set

Just a bit of nitpicking here but can Austria own the stretch of land in between Sardinia-Piedmont and the Papal States, preferrably with the land taken out on the papal side...... I can see how this could however ruin balance as Sardina Piedmont will have no where really to expand via land but the...

Re: Towards a first complete working image set

How about something like this?

UK = pink which is always good on maps  there's the German grey (Prussian blue would be a bit too similar to France). Holland's orange, etc.

Re: We need a NAME for the project!

The Imperial Era seems ok. I like the French stuff, but perhaps it's not as appealing as a name in English?

Re: Towards a first complete working image set

Here it is (based on 1822 scenario). I find the colours a bit bland, perhaps we should tweak it at a later stage to have a *somewhat* more colourful map (like this historical map of 1911) ! Great Britain 254 249 68 FCF944 Netherlands 184 131 99 B88363 France 17 104 186 1168BA Sardinia/Italy 142 167 ...

Re: We need a NAME for the project!

I kinda like Empires of Blood and Steam La Belle Époque (this was a period in French history that is conventionally dated as starting in 1871 and ending when World War I began in 1914. Occurring during the era of the Third French Republic (Beginning 1870), it was a period characterized by optimism, ...

Re: Towards a first complete working image set

Coat of arms (majors only I guess?). I've selected newer ones (1882 etc and onward) over older ones mostly because of copyright reasons. Austria OR Austria-Hungary United Kingdom France (1898 and onward) Prussia (attribute David Liuzzo!!) Russia (1883 and onward) Ottoman Empire (1882 and onward) Ita...

Re: Newspaper

Basicly what was in Imp1's newspaper, but with more variation and more content. Reading it became repetitive really quick in Imp, because there wasn't much content to begin with.

The quick links are a great innovation of this feature and will help improve the user experience.
