Re: Welcome
Hello Willem!
The good news is that the project is open source, and it's going to be free to play down the road. Progress is slow-going, but that's what happens with volunteer developers.

Re: Terrain Tiles
Working with continuous mountains right no. I might have to redo the base mountain tile. Either that, or I have to do a hell of a job creating the mountain/hill continuous tiles. Expect something this week. Starting Friday if I can swing it, I'm going to start sprinting as well. I want this project ...

Re: So, what's going on?
It's good to be back. I've been... Lost in my thoughts these past few months. Distracted. But in these thoughts I've realized those activities that actually drove me to improve myself, and this project is one of them. Busting out the good old drawing tablet. I want to see some goddamn continuous mou...

Re: So, what's going on?
No worries. I haven't touched anything in a while, due to real life issues going on. We gave our second car to a friend, and two days later our car died. Luckily my dad had one we could borrow, but repairs means money is tight and it's just stressing us out.

Re: VII. Military
According to the quick reference cards from GOG.com, they moved (in order of ship development) 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 9, 13, and 13 spaces in one turn. Early on it took 3-6 turns to make it to the capitals of other major powers, but with a modern fleet almost anywhere on the map could be hit in two turns.

I agree. We just need enough to make travel range balanced.

Re: Terrain Tiles
Continuous Forest. You will see some pretty ugly patterns coming out of it, but for now it will do. A definite improvement over base tiles. Between looking at the results here, and looking back over Imp1 screenshots, I've discovered an important factor in breaking up patterns: - If objects are clump...

Re: So, what's going on?
It seems that paying work has been put on permanent hiatus, so I can promote this project up to a higher priority. I have a temporary fix for art going, and am working right now on the continuous tiles.
