Another job that would benefit from experience is sound effects. Even if it's just scouring Creative Commons sites to build a sound library for the game, it's still pretty important in my opinion.

Yes I should be able to once I do some testing. My wife wants me to find a job so she can stay home with the kids, so IDK when that will be, but I can definitely do it.

That's crazy. I know that object-oriented programs tend to be text efficient once you get them up and running, but nothing compares to scripting languages when it comes to punching a little bit of code.

That sounds confusing. For whatever reason (probably a lack of coffee) I'm not understanding it. I like the idea of randomly generating tiles by pulling pieces from larger images. It's John Carmack's super textures applied to terrain art. Anyway, give it a shot and show it to us, I'm always excited ...

I don't think so. The .15 alpha of 0 A.D. is 501MB, and it's not even close to being finished. Without serious animations or videos, we are going to have a small game. At this point, our only real concern should be how to finish a game with a small handful of regular contributors.
