It's been a while: map.png Right-click and select "View Image" so it scales down closer to game tile size. This is just horizontal tiling. Once I get vertical done I will get the tile uploaded. I've also decided to stop stressing over every little tweak in the first iteration of tiles - it...

Yes, Imperialism sold on GOG.com does indeed work in Windows 7 at least. And yes, you should own it, it is the most amazing game ever.

It was designed to function much like the IMP1 tech tree, so obviously it would need work to be applied to a diff...

It's randomization probably. Either that or (sucks to say it) they tiled the whole thing in a similar way to the terrain stuff we've worked on in the past.

I might have more terrain artwork to show as well over the next month or so. I really want to wrap that up so we can move on.And I'm back and working on the release. It will come in the next days.

I would think some great pictures could be found on places like http://pixabay.com/en/, and there are plenty of free sound effects libraries floating around the internet. As for images I would also think HD scans of 19th century artwork would be easily obtained, and they are certainly going to fall ...
