Re: Random scenarios - parameters

Hi Jan,

sorry, but I use my own svn-server yet. I can use to gitlab as soon as I have a running alpha version. I am working on some familiar problems right now.

Re: Random scenarios - parameters

I've started developing a first prototype in Java. As soon as it is running nicely I'll show you some results. Afterwards I'll try to implement it Python.

Re: Random scenarios - parameters

Yes, that looks cool and surely could be used for random generated maps. It would be nice if you could make some research and write down the algorithm how they do it. It seems not so hard for our purpose. For Quadmeshes it is an equilateral vertexset and a 2 dimensional function including (land)/ex...

Re: Random scenarios - parameters

I found a beautiful code-example for a radomized polygonal map editor for flash. http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~amitp/game-programming/polygon-map-generation/ We just need the 2D quad-mesh tiling-part. I will further check about useful distributions of the tiling, including - major (7-10 regio...

Re: Research

With the summer gone, I'm returning to the game ;)

The last few evenings I've finished an Excel-sheet combining the research with historical events/inventions which mainly Veneteaou gave us.

I hope I will find some time for programming this autumn.

Re: Research

I try to build up a graph for any unit/resource depending on a time-flag and a parent e.g. Infantry I (available at start) -> Infantry II ("Breech loading rifle", requires Infantry I, IY 1848) -> Infantry III ("Machine gun", requires Infantry II, IY 1880) I suggest, like Trilario...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi, I am an German Java-Developer from Berlin. I'm programming physics simulations and computer graphics for about 5 Years now. I'm strongly interested in datastructures. I've just started to work with Python and hope to learn more while programming imperialism remake ;) I'd love to help with the re...

Re: Please tell us your languages

Hi, I can translate it to German (native-speaker!) and English. I can also do some French-translations, but with French native speakers there won't be any reason for.
