I have an idea for a diplomacy system in case your interested. every nation has economic, military, and political influence. it also has an affection meter. Types of Influence: economic influence increases as a result of trading with a nation, as well as foreign investment. this factor encourages lo...

Re: Random scenarios - parameters

Re: Map Development
I am also sorry for taking my time to reply to your posts. the slow pace here, combined with work elsewhere has led me to be somewhat slow in my answers. I was hoping to create the world, set in the year 1861. I thought it may be interesting for players in this period. the USA is in the midst of its...

Re: Promoting the project
I would just like to bring forward the following. I believe going for imperialist players is good, but inadequate. to be brutally honest the amount of strategy game players who have heard of imperialism isn't a measurable minority. the game is old. the remake is new, so it may be a more fruitful end...

Re: Economics, Bidding, and my plight.
one problem I find is that so much of the game idea is in my head, and a majority of it is currently intangible. I have a feel for how it will work (and know it wont be too bad to implement, but without it I cannot properly explain what I need assistance with. I suppose I should try to reiterate my ...

Re: Idea: New Nations and Revolutions?
one of the biggest flaws in victoria, which allowed revolutions to be simple whack a mole, was that nations selected the nationality of their regiments, and never built minorities. in other words soldiers never defected to states that were revolting, thus ensuring a stable situation. while a stable ...

Economics, Bidding, and my plight.
well I'm stumped. and no amount of pacing and soda has helped. thankfully I stopped before I ran out of Pepsi, however this still leaves me with a problem... a suggestion I gave earlier (not sure if it has been approved yet) sparked a torrent of creative thinking. I am picturing a game (don't dare g...
