For the buttons should it be something simple.. IE no overlay and when you scroll over the button a word appears telling you what it is?

Re: Towards a first complete working image set
Coat of arms (majors only I guess?). I've selected newer ones (1882 etc and onward) over older ones mostly because of copyright reasons.
Austria
OR
Austria-Hungary
United Kingdom
France (1898 and onward)
Prussia (attribute David Liuzzo!!)
Russia (1883 and onward)
Ottoman Empire (1882 and onward)
Italy (attribute 'Flanker'!!)

Each nation now internally has a color for the political maps. Please go to the original game and make a screen shot and get the color of each nation (preferablly as hex string (ffffff = white) or as r,g,b integer values) and print them here. That would save me some time.
Re: Towards a first complete working image set
Here it is (based on 1822 scenario). I find the colours a bit bland, perhaps we should tweak it at a later stage to have a *somewhat* more colourful map (like this historical map of 1911)!

Re: Towards a first complete working image set
Just a bit of nitpicking here but can Austria own the stretch of land in between Sardinia-Piedmont and the Papal States, preferrably with the land taken out on the papal side...... I can see how this could however ruin balance as Sardina Piedmont will have no where really to expand via land but they do have Switzerland to the north (I don't care what you people say switzerland is awesome and should always be invaded) however it does force the player of sardina-piedmont to either ally with another powerful country to gain land or build up its navy to conquer the rest of italy via the sea and in the process create a pretty sufficient naval defense force in the meditteranean
Re: Towards a first complete working image set
As a reward, here a glimpse of the never to be seen before political view of the map with your colors. I know it's just plain pixel art, but we can always improve . And of course we can and should change the colors. I like the light blue of Russia and the dark blue of France though.Haxaco wrote:Here it is (based on 1822 scenario). ...

Do you mean in my map? That was just a quick draw to help with choosing new coloursCreator wrote:Just a bit of nitpicking here but can Austria own the stretch of land in between Sardinia-Piedmont and the Papal States, preferrably with the land taken out on the papal side...... Awesome, looks just like Imp1 yeah, colour wise it's mostly the minor powers who've got boring colours!Trilarion wrote:As a reward, here a glimpse of the never to be seen before political view of the map with your colors.
